The 2nd at Dormie Club
My obsession with pure golf at Dormie Club continues! Here is the view from the second tee - a great dogleg left with a big reward for those taking on the left hand bunker.

The 18th at Dormie Club
A number of people wanted to know if I had any other pictures of the magnificent Dormie Club near Pinehurst, NC. Over the next couple of days, I'll trawl through my files and find the good ones. Above is a view from behind the 18th green looking back down the par 4. It has a wonderful green with a "sweep" from right to left. Really, you have to see this place - it's Coore and Crenshaw at the top of their game.

The Dormie Club. An Absolute Gem!
I have just returned form our semi annual UK v. US match in North Carolina. We played great golf courses in and around Pinehurst - Mid Pines, Pine Needles, Tobacco Road and the majestic Dormie Club.
If you haven't heard of the Dormie Club...you will! It is the latest creation from Coore and Crenshaw, who alongside Tom Doak and Jim Urbina are creating the 21st century version of the vaunted Golden Age of Golf Architecture. Dormie is pure golf, creative design, wonderful greens complexes, a great walk and most importantly, FUN! The club is full of intrigue and rumor after changes of ownership, but that will all be forgotten as more people play this absolute gem. I may be feeling giddy after playing it, but it is already in my Top 10...it is that good. Pure golf, pure enjoyment.
